Social Activities

There are two formal social activites associated with ACSW2010:

(Please note: these activities are not included in the standard student or one-day registrations)

Welcome Reception

Monday, 18th January 6:00pm-8:00pm
Owen J. Wordsworth room, level 12 of S block (see campus map for location of S block)

Please note that access to S block is via level 2 only due to building renovations on lower levels. Please collect your name tag from the registration desk on level 4 of Z block prior to attending the welcome reception. Attendees will receive two free drinks and canapés. A reception ticket and drinks vouchers will be provided when you check in at reception. A cash bar will be available for any further drinks purchases. There is an ATM in the Community Building (Y Block) on campus.

Wednesday, 20th January 7:00pm until midnight
Rooftop Function Room at Rydges Hotel, Cnr Grey and Glenelg Streets, Southbank, Brisbane.

The hotel is a pleasant 20 minute walk from Gardens Point campus over the river via the Goodwill Bridge to Southbank (see map for directions). The conference dinner will include a three course meal and two free drinks. A dinner ticket and drinks vouchers are provided when you check in at reception. A cash bar will be available for any further drinks purchases.
