Wireless Access
Delegates with a laptop may access the Internet via the wireless network provided by QUT. This network is available across the QUT campus.
There are two ways to connect to the network. The preferred and easiest method is using eduroam. For a list of Australian participating institutions and resources, visit the AARNet wiki site. For international institutions, visit http://www.eduroam.org/. If you already have access to eduroam, then simply connect to eduroam as you would normally, using your home institution's username and domain/realm (such as jdoe@institution.edu.au), password and security settings. Once connected to eduroam you'll have high-speed access to the Internet. There is no need to use a VPN connection unless you need access to a specific service at your home site.
If you do not have access to eduroam, then you will need to contact the Registration Desk to collect your username, password and a detailed instruction sheet entitled "Accessing Wireless at QUT for Conference Delegates".
